WEST OF ENGLAND  GET PREVIEW OF

NEW BRITISH NAIVE ARTISTS WORK.

During the Dorset Arts Week 2002, in mid June this year, the unplanned inclusion of some paintings by members of the New British Naives in an exhibition at the Picture Frames gallery in Shaftesbury, created a storm of activity on the MisterDenham.com website, following the official preview.

The paintings were at the gallery awaiting framing decisions for a Naïve Art exhibition at the prestigious Chelsea Harbour complex in London, and were leaned against one of the walls, apparently.  Visitors to the preview thought they were an integral part of the exhibition, and many enquiries were made throughout the evening.

An article on the New British Naives subsequently appeared in the South West magazine INTERVALE, and generated further hectic website activity, after its publication.

We only became aware of this impromptu exhibition after it had happened, but were gratified by the levels of interest shown, both during and after the event. An analysis of the website activity showed yet again that we are striking common chords somewhere along the line!
